When you first step into this lifestyle, it feels like learning a foreign language. Here is a quick guide to the terms we use, defined my way. Pulled directly from my book, Becoming Happy Hotwife.
Stag
A husband who loves watching his wife fully realize her sexual side. Stags are generally secure, dominant men who enjoy the visual pleasure of seeing their wife being powerful in a sexual situation. They are not looking to be humiliated.
Cuckold
Similar to a Stag, but the dynamic usually involves an exchange of control. He enjoys surrendering his dominance, watching his wife take control, and often enjoys the teasing and humiliation aspect of her being with a more endowed man. This is where fantasy mixes. It uses a language those involved understand. It is the language of the game and it is a very exciting one to play together.
Bull
The single man (or sometimes a married man playing separately) who is brought in to pleasure the Hotwife. A good Bull knows his job is to respect the marriage and team up with the husband to give the wife the best night possible.
Keyholder / Chastity
A dynamic where the wife wears a key around her neck to her husband's chastity device. It is a symbol of her sovereignty, his trust, and the playful ownership at the center of our marriage.
The Switch
That intoxicating moment when the quiet, everyday wife turns off her inhibitions and unleashes her dominant, unapologetic sexual sovereignty.
Compersion
The feeling of genuine joy you get from watching your partner experience pleasure. It is often described as the opposite of jealousy. In the Hotwife lifestyle, compersion is the emotional engine underneath the whole thing. The husband who feels it most deeply is usually the one who thrives longest in this life.
Cuckold Angst vs. Compersion
These two feelings almost always exist at the same time. The angst is the jealousy and ego fighting back. The compersion is the love and pride winning. Most Cuckold husbands live in the space between them, and that tension is exactly what keeps them coming back.
Seasons
Our shorthand for the version of the lifestyle in any given stretch of time. Intense seasons. Quiet seasons. Stag seasons. Cuckold seasons. The marriage stays the same. The version changes.
