Stag
A husband who loves watching his wife fully realize her sexual side. Stags are generally secure, dominant men who enjoy the visual pleasure of seeing their wife being powerful in a sexual situation. They are not looking to be humiliated.
Stag and Vixen
The honest couple's term for the most common Hotwife dynamic. The husband (Stag) gets his pleasure from his wife's freedom and power. The wife (Vixen) plays with other men with his full blessing. MFM is a common configuration. Same spectrum as Cuckold, different lean.
Cuckold
Similar to a Stag, but the dynamic usually involves an exchange of control. He enjoys surrendering his dominance, watching his wife take control, and often enjoys the teasing and humiliation aspect of her being with a more endowed man. This is where fantasy mixes. It uses a language those involved understand. It is the language of the game and it is a very exciting one to play together.
Candaulism
The arousal a husband feels showing off and sharing his wife, the pride of having her admired and desired. The husband's side of the Hotwife dynamic, and for many couples the first thread that pulls them in.
Bull
The single man (or sometimes a married man playing separately) who is brought in to pleasure the Hotwife. A good Bull knows his job is to respect the marriage and team up with the husband to give the wife the best night possible.
Queen of Spades
An iykyk symbol in the Hotwife and Cuckold lifestyle signaling that the woman wearing it enjoys playing with Black partners. Worn as a tattoo, temporary tattoo, jewelry, body art, or clothing motif. One layer on a 600-year-old symbol of feminine power, intelligence, and depth.
Size Queen
A woman who prefers larger penises, both in length and in girth. A real, anatomy-grounded sexual preference shared by a meaningful share of women, often unnamed because of cultural shaming. The Hotwife lifestyle is where the preference can be named out loud.
SPH (Small Penis Humiliation)
Consensual teasing about a man's size that he finds arousing. In the Hotwife world it is the wife reminding her husband, on purpose, that the man she plays with is bigger. He consents and he is aroused, or it is not SPH. I play it in my own marriage, and nobody is exempt, because there is always somebody bigger.
Black Cuckold
A Black man who takes the Cuckold role in his own marriage. He is the husband, not the outside partner. The role is his choice. The only thing his skin has to do with it is that pornography spent decades insisting he could not have it. Roles here are chosen, never assigned.
BBC
Big Black Cock. A race-coded flavor of play in the Hotwife and Cuckold lifestyle where the wife's outside partner, the Bull, is a Black man, chosen by the couple inside their rules. Role-naming shorthand inside the play frame, covered honestly here rather than the way porn presents it.
Race Play
Consensual role play where the racial difference between partners is spoken out loud on purpose and made part of the charge. It runs on taboo inside rules the players chose. Some players truly want the racial charge and own it. For many others it was the only script the internet ever offered for desires with no racial element at all: surrender, teasing, comparison. If that is you, the word you are looking for is Cuckold, not a color.
Keyholder / Chastity
A dynamic where the wife wears a key around her neck to her husband's chastity device. It is a symbol of her power, his trust, and the playful ownership at the center of our marriage.
The Switch

Compersion
The feeling of genuine joy you get from watching your partner experience pleasure. It is often described as the opposite of jealousy. The one who wears the key. He is locked, I am not, and I am the one who decided.

The woman a couple invites in for the husband while the wife enjoys the show, the mirror image of the Bull, explained honestly even though our mirror runs the other way.
Wittol
The 500 year old English word for a husband who knows about his wife's lovers and is glad. I married the living version.
Reclaiming
How we close the circle after a date. The truest version is not the fireworks that night, it is the morning after, skin on skin, when I remind my husband that I am his.
Hall Pass
A hall pass is a coupon and our life is a language. In our marriage the pass is mine: a coin, a contract, a tease that I can choose anyone. The difference between one night of permission and a marriage that talks about everything.
Cuckoldress
The wife holding the keys in the Cuckold game. In our Cuckold seasons, that wife is me.
Dogging
The British word for sex in a car park with strangers invited to watch, and the honest truth about why my exhibitionist heart understands it completely even though we have never once done it.
Swinging vs Hotwifing
Swingers trade and we do not. We tried both roads early on. I wanted to be outnumbered and my husband wanted to watch, and this is the honest map of that fork.
Soft Swap vs Full Swap
Soft swap is swinging that stops short of intercourse with the other partners. Full swap includes everything. Every couple draws the line for themselves, and the agreement matters more than where it sits. We tried that road early on before finding our own.
Unicorn
A single woman who plays with couples, named for how rare she is. She can pick from a sea of couples, which means the couples do the courting, and the ones she says yes to twice treated her like a whole person the first time.
Ethical Non-Monogamy
The umbrella term over everything this glossary describes: any relationship style where partners agree, honestly and with full knowledge, to connections outside the pair. The word doing all the work is ethical. Everyone affected knows, and everyone agreed.
Cuck Chair
The chair in the corner where a Cuckold husband sits and watches. The internet made it a meme about hotel furniture. The truth is nobody ends up in that seat by accident: the man sitting in it asked for that view.
Chastity Cage
A lockable device a man wears by choice so that his release belongs to whoever holds the key. The hardware is the visible part. The actual content is trust, surrender, and a game of anticipation that never has to end.
Tease and Denial
Arousal built on purpose and release withheld on purpose. The denial is not a flaw in the game, the denial is the game: anticipation is the strongest aphrodisiac a couple can build, and one of them holds the clock because both wanted it that way.
Dom and Sub
The two roles in a consensual power exchange: one partner takes control, the other gives it, inside rules both wrote. Consent is the entire difference between a D/s dynamic and a controlling relationship. In our world, the Dominant chair is very often the wife's.

Common questions
Why do you define these words yourself?
Because most definitions online were written by someone selling a fantasy or someone selling shame. I have lived this life with my husband since 2016, with my real face. Every definition on this page is the one I wrote in the Glossary of my book, and I would rather you check me than trust me.
What is the difference between a Stag and a Cuckold?
They are two flavors on the same spectrum, not two different things. A Stag loves watching his wife fully realize her sexual side and is not looking to be humiliated. A Cuckold enjoys an exchange of control, surrendering his dominance and watching his wife take it. Most couples lean one way and have seasons of the other.
Is a Hotwife cheating?
No. She is not cheating. She is playing by the rules of her own marriage. In our marriage nothing happens behind my husband's back. We play together, I never go without him, and for us that openness is the whole point. Other couples write their own rules, and that is the point too.
