Ask Happy

Ask me anything about the Hotwife lifestyle. I have lived it and loved it on purpose for 10 years, inside a 32 year love story. Real answers, not the internet fantasy version.

Adults only. Real lived experience, not professional advice.

Hi, I'm Happy. Ask me anything, or start with one of these.

Want the whole story? It's in my book, Becoming Happy Hotwife. Or start with the guide.

Ask a Real Hotwife Anything

Ask Happy is a free place to ask questions about the Hotwife and Cuckold lifestyle and get an answer from a woman who actually lives it. Not a forum full of strangers. Not a porn comment section. Not an advice column written by someone who has only read about this. Me, in my own words, from inside my own marriage.

I am Happy. My husband and I have been together since 1994 and married since 1999. That is 32 years together and 27 years married. We opened our marriage to this life on purpose in 2016, and I have been living it ever since. I use my real name and my real face, which almost nobody in this space does, and I do it because the anonymous version of this conversation is exactly what left you with no honest answer in the first place.

Ask me anything. What we do, how we started, what it costs, what it gave us, what my husband feels while it is happening, what I feel, what I would tell you if you were sitting at my kitchen table instead of typing into a box at two in the morning.

Why ask me instead of the internet

Search the words Hotwife or Cuckold and you get fantasy. Endless, extreme, produced fantasy, made by people who have never had to wake up the next morning and be married to each other. It is a genre, and it is written to arouse, not to inform. So the picture it paints is not just exaggerated, it is upside down. It shows a man being humiliated and a wife being taken away from him.

That is not what happened to us. My husband carried this quietly for a long time before he ever said it out loud. When he finally handed it to me, it opened a part of me I did not know was in there. Ten years later I love him more for it, not in spite of it.

He did not lose me. He unlocked me.

So when you ask me a question, you are not getting the fantasy answer and you are not getting a lecture either. You are getting what actually happens in a real, long, ordinary, happy marriage that also happens to be a Hotwife marriage. The order matters. We are a Hotwife couple because we were already happy, not the other way around.

Who actually writes to me

Five kinds of people send me questions, and if you are reading this you are almost certainly one of them.

  • Men who have carried this fantasy for ten or twenty years and have never said it to anyone, including their wife, and who need to know first whether wanting it makes them broken.
  • Wives who found out what their husband wants and are somewhere between hurt, confused, curious and quietly interested, and who want to hear it from another wife instead of from him.
  • Couples who have already talked about it once, badly, and want to know how to have the conversation again without it turning into a fight.
  • Couples already doing this who are stuck on the practical parts. Rules, safety, jealousy, first meetings, what to tell friends, how to find the right Bull, what to do when the feelings show up late.
  • People who are not sure what any of the words mean yet and are too embarrassed to ask anywhere else.

Every one of them arrives believing they are the only one. None of them are. That, more than any single answer I give, is the reason this page exists.

How to ask so I can actually help

Be as specific as you can stand to be. There is nothing you can type that will shock me, and the more real your question is, the more useful my answer will be. Vague questions get vague answers, and you did not come here for that.

Tell me where you are actually standing. Whether you are the one who wants this, the one who was asked, or the one still deciding, that changes my entire answer.

You do not have to give me your name. Most people do not, and I am glad they do not, because I would rather have the true question than a polite one.

What this is and what it is not

  • This is honest lived experience from one wife, not professional advice. I am not a therapist, a doctor or a lawyer, and I will tell you plainly when something belongs with one of them.
  • Adults only, 18 and over.
  • I will not tell you your marriage should look like mine. Yours will look like yours. Some couples talk about this for years and never do a thing, and that is a whole life too.
  • I will not pretend the hard parts away. The jealousy is real. The nerves are real. Pretending otherwise is exactly what makes everything else on the internet useless to you.

The questions I get most

What is a Hotwife?

A Hotwife is a married woman who is intimate with other men with her husband's full knowledge, consent and encouragement. The word people skip in that sentence is married. This is not cheating and it is not both partners wandering. It is a marriage where the wife is the one who plays and her husband is the one who wants her to.

Is the Hotwife lifestyle cheating?

No. Cheating is the absence of consent. Everything I do, my husband knows about before it happens and wants to happen. Cheating takes something from your marriage in secret. This adds something to ours out loud. Those are opposite activities that happen to involve some of the same body parts.

What is the difference between a Hotwife, a Cuckold, and a Stag and Vixen couple?

They describe the husband's emotional relationship to it more than they describe the act. A Cuckold gets his charge from the ache, the smallness, the giving up of something. A Stag gets his from pride, from watching his Vixen be wanted, from ownership rather than surrender. Hotwife is the broadest word and simply means the wife is the one who plays. In my experience these are not fixed boxes. My husband moves between them depending on the night, and I hear the same thing from the couples who write to me.

How do I tell my wife I want this?

Not as a request and not as a proposal. As a truth about yourself that you are tired of carrying alone. Do not open with logistics, rules or other men. Open with what it means to you and why you are telling her now. Give her room to react badly at first, because the first reaction is almost never the final answer, and the version of the conversation in your head is almost always worse than the real one.

Does wanting to be a Cuckold make a man weak?

It takes a strong man to hand me the key. It takes a man sure enough of himself to want his wife fully alive, knowing exactly what that costs him some nights, and to want it anyway. That is not weakness. It is the bravest thing my husband has ever done, and he has done some brave things.

Will this ruin our marriage?

It will magnify whatever your marriage already is. If you are strong and you talk honestly, this can make you closer than you have ever been. If you are already cracked, this will find the crack. That is the honest answer, and it is why we say we are a Hotwife couple because we were happy first, not the reverse.

What is cuck angst?

It is the ache a husband feels while it is happening. Proud and jealous in the same hour, both of them real, neither one canceling the other. In our house we call it cuck angst, and it is not a bug in this life. It is part of the engine.

Can I ask anonymously?

Yes. You do not need an account or a name. Type the question you actually have, not the one that sounds acceptable.

Where to go next

If you would rather read than ask, start with the pillar that matches where you are standing.

  • Cuckolding, the honest truth from a real wife for the man who has carried this quietly and needs to know he is not broken.
  • The Hotwife glossary if the words are still doing your head in. Hotwife, Cuckold, Bull, Stag, Vixen, compersion, cuck angst, all defined by someone who uses them in real life.
  • The blog for the long answers. Rules, first times, jealousy, finding a Bull, telling your wife.
  • The music if you would rather feel it than read it. Nine original songs written from inside this life.
  • Becoming Happy Hotwife for the whole story, the unblended version, including the parts that were hard.
